About this property
The Best Western Plus Buxton Lee Wood Hotel is one of the most perfectly positioned hotels in Buxton, right in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Three quarters of Buxton are surrounded by the Peaks, so you'll be well in range of many short and cheerful strolls, or strenuous walks for the experienced hiker. Though the hotel is the perfect base for a walking holiday, it's an equally appealing spot for those wishing to explore the historic attractions of Buxton Spa itself. Buxton Opera House is a particularly attractive sight to put on the to-do list. It was built by Matcham in 1903 and is a worthy focal point for a Buxton-based theatre break. The Pavilion gardens are also close by - only an 8-minute walk from the hotel - and make for the most idyllic setting on a sunny afternoon. As a guest at the family-run Best Western Plus Buxton Lee Wood Hotel, you'll be within touching distance of the Derbyshire Dales, a stone's throw from Castleton and its fabulous caves, and even closer to the award-winning Elements restaurant – found within the hotel itself! If you're feeling famished, a three course a la carte feast will be waiting for you, or you can enjoy something a little lighter in the Elements Bar and Lounge. A full range of beauty treatments and a state of the art fitness suite will also be available to you, to leave you looking and feeling your very best. We really can guarantee maximum relaxation in this Best Western hotel near the Peak District.
